A theme that drives a lot of my exploration and connection to the world is the extreme effort we will go through to build a better life for our loved ones. Ghost Towns abound with these stories, some that have had great success and some not. These photographs are from some of the towns I have searched out and explored. More are in the Vanishing West and Remembrance galleries.
Small collections of my photography organized by a place or editorial theme.
This is a collection of photos from my time mostly in San Francisco’s Sunset and wanders through California.
I made a few business trips between 1999 and 2006 which gave me time to explore Tokyo. These are a few of my favorites from an amazing walking city.
I was a huge NASCAR fan, and through some fortuitous luck, I later worked on sponsorship activations that gave me amazing access. These are the photos from pit road and beyond.
Moving to Austin, Texas in 2006 changed and broadened my perspective of what the many facets of Texas are. These are a few photographs that represent what has captivated me.
The monuments we build to honor those that lived have always fascinated me. As our life is fleeting, and fragile, over time so are the monuments we use to honor those lives.
The people who pioneer are often driven by dreams and/or desperation to create something new and better. These photographs of Ghost Towns attempt to capture some of that story.
